    COUNCIL DECISION ON ADMISSION POLICY FOR 2022-23

    The Medical and Dental Council in its 2,d meeting (14 session) held on 27 September, 2022 has
    unanimously approved the Admission Policy 2022-23. Following eligibility criteria will apply for
    admissions 2022-23:

    1. Admissions Process for Public Colleges:

    The government/admitting university sholl formulate the merit and admission criteria
    for the public colleges subject to the following criteria:
    a) MDCAT(SO%)
    b) FSc(Pre-Medical)/HSSe/Equivalent (40%) of total marks and
    c) SSe/Matriculation/Equivalent (10%) of total marks.

    2. Admissions Process for Private Colleges:

    Each of the private colleges shall publicly issue their admission criteria and merit
    formulation for admission and prescribed tuition and all applicable fee ond charges by 1"
    Januory of each year and make the same available on their college website and provide a copy
    to the Authority.
    The college shall formulate the fallowing merit and admission criteria:

    a) MDCAT(SO%)
    b) FSc(Pre-Medicol)/HSSe/Equivalent (40%) of total marks and
    c) SSe/Matriculation/Equivalent (10%) of total marks.
