Historia de San Juan

Fundado en 1542 por Fray Miguel de Bolonia que refundó

con indígenas ya bautizados gracias a la evangelización que
hubo por parte de los españoles 12 años atrás a él se le
atribuye haber donado la imagen de la Inmaculada
Concepción, que había adquirido en Michoacán hecha de
pasta de caña de maíz, this town began its urbanization

En 1824 el 27 de marzo, se le concedió el título de la Villa al
poblado de San Juan de los Lagos and finally until 1869 on
October 30 of this year, the decree that granted the name of
city to the Villa of San Juan de los Lagos was approved.
