LET'S START
WHAT IS THE
GENERATION GAP?

The generation gap is the most

The generation gap is the evident in how people present
difference in behavior, themselves. For example hair and
preferences, and tastes between clothing.
people of different generations
Young people have different
behaviors and habit from middle
age people, or senior.
Generational gaps are simply caused by age and
the situation of the world at the time one
generation has grown up. For example, the beliefs
and perceptions of those who grew up during
World War II may be different from those who
grew up in the 1960s—though to be sure,
similarities will remain.
The generation gap is the widened significantly because of
technological advances. This is the most noticbale between the oldest
and youngest people in society

The generation gap has always existed

and always will.

HOW TO BRIDGE THE
GENERATION GAP
IN FAMILY
a. Communication
The lack of communication between children and parents is the reason for this. We need to be
on talking grounds with our parents. Speak to them about anything we feel like be it your daily
routine or any latest things in our life.

b. Act responsibility
Many responsibilities are coming to our way as we are growing up. We need to realize them as
fast as we can. It’s quite appealing for the parents to see their kids behaving maturely and
acting like a grown-up.

c. Finding Similar Interests Is The Best Way To Bridge Generation Gap

For the parents: Maybe your child doesn’t have the same interest as you have; there are no such
reasons that he or she would have similar interests as you. Try to find things that are appealing to
you both, it can be anything like your favorite cricket team or favorite music band or a shared
hobby or a TV show.

d. Find a deal
In fact, everyone will always find disagreements with others. This also applies in the family.
However, forcing the will from each side is not the solution.
HOW TO BRIDGE THE
GENERATION GAP

e. Don’t Compare
For parents: Accept that times have changed, don’t say things like” when I was your age”,
maybe things were different back then but there is a completely different scenario. There is
no contest between you and your kids so don’t fight any with them. Accept the things the way
they are now and act as a cool parent.
