This assignment refers to the concept of Piece Rate. Using the example of Best and
Compton Apparels, you will gain insight into how piece rate is used.

Pieced Rate is:

 Calculated through time study, factoring in fatigue, rest, ability, unavoidable

delays.
 Limitations:
o Not good for jobs with task diversity or where it is difficult to measure
quality.
o Not good in industries with constantly changing technology.
o Not good were risk of safety violations, shortcutting, or high scrap rates
