Thesis statement

"Although the policy of America after WW1 was to stay neutral and prevent future

involvement in foreign wars, the Nazi German military's aggression led to vigorous attacks.

FDR believed that the best way to keep American troops out of World War II was to support

the economy, munitions, and equipment. However, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor

eventually forced the United States to enter WW2." (history.com)

Although America claims to stay neutral, they are still involved with war in some ways.

After World War I, the United States wanted to stay out of foreign wars and protect its

citizens. However, as Nazi Germany became more aggressive, President Roosevelt realized

the importance of supporting the economy and preparing for war. The attack on Pearl Harbor

by Japan eventually led the U.S. to fully engage in World War II.
