Transition Planning Part One: Career Choice

Post – Secondary Life PLAN A:
MY PLAN A ________business manager of human resource __________________
My Plan A:
Consider:
❏ What do you enjoy? Others took my plan and carried it out
❏ What sort of lifestyle do
Find fulfillment in mentoring others. I enjoy the team members I mentor,
you want?
❏ What are you good at? helping them grow professionally, and creating a supportive atmosphere.
This lifestyle choice emphasizes the satisfaction gained from mentoring
and developing others.
I am good at planning, giving out the plans during case work

Career Info that I have

discovered…
Consider:
The first advantage of the job is that it can meet my requirements and
❏ Upsides/downsides of expectations of my favorite life style very well, and the use of a wide
job range, because basically most companies have a human resources
❏ Job duties/ department, no matter what type of company. The same disadvantage is
responsibilities also very obvious, since all companies have human resources
❏ Salary range departments, then the competition will be fierce, and each department
❏ Future outlook manager will not have a lot of them. First of all, as a manager to the staff
❏ Lifestyle factors department to give the correct and effective division of labor plan, if the
❏ Advancement division of labor is not clear or there are loopholes in the plan, then it will
opportunities be the responsibility of the manager. Because I plan to work back home
after graduation, I looked up some domestic salaries, about 20,000RMB,
this salary is actually not good in China, but this is an average salary,
depending on the city, the consumption level and salary level will be
different. In some developed cities, the salary of a manager is around
30,000RMB. So, in the future, I think the prospect of this career is that if
you do a good job, then you can go to a better company with a better
future and a better salary. If you don't want to work for people anymore,
you can go to your own business through HR management experience,
which will be very helpful to start a business. First of all, I think this job
may take time off, and I have to pay attention to the implementation of
the plan all the time, so there are relatively more things to worry about.
Three employability skills I 1. planning skills
possess that will support my
First of all, planning ability is very important, because in this position, you
plan:
need to make effective plans for your colleagues, and ensure that all
people have the ability to carry out. Find each person's strengths and
assign appropriate tasks
Consider:
2. organizational ability
❏ Soft and hard Skills
required for position Distribution and arrangement are equally important. As I said before, only
❏ Personal attributes by assigning the right tasks to the right people can the team maximize its
benefits. There is also a potential requirement that we need to know
everyone's strengths so that we can come up with effective plans.
3. Statistical analysis capability
An essential hard skill for HR business managers is data analysis. With the
increased emphasis on data-driven decision making, HR managers need to
be able to analyze and interpret HR metrics and workforce data to inform
their strategies and make informed decisions

Education needed to pursue my Consider earning a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or
plan: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Society for Human
Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior
Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from the Human Resources
Consider: Certification Institute (HRCI). Also Look for opportunities to gain practical
experience in human resources or related positions while pursuing or after
❏ Courses/training/ completing your degree. Consider an internship, part-time or volunteer
certificates needed position in human resources
❏ Post-secondary
requirements

Post-Secondary Life PLAN B:

MY BACKUP PLAN ______personal trainer _____________________________

My Plan B:
Consider:
❏ What do you enjoy?
❏ What sort of lifestyle do you I love working out. It's probably become an important habit for me
want?
❏ What are you good at? I just love that every day I can immerse myself in that atmosphere where
everyone is focused, encouraging each other, and in that state of excitement
and clarity of purpose every day. A life of daily progress.
I am good at sharing experience to someone else, and using my previous
knowledge, and motivate others. Although I was 18 years old when I started
working out, I still have a lot of time to shape myself, and in the case of
perseverance for several years, I believe I have enough ability as well as
knowledge to escort others on the road to fitness

Career Info that I have discovered… Personal fitness trainers usually have the flexibility to set their own schedules. I
can choose to work full time or part time, and I have the freedom to work in
different locations such as gyms, fitness centers, or depending on the needs of
Consider: my clients, I can decide where to take classes. Working closely with clients
allows you to build strong relationships and connect with individuals from a
❏ Upsides/downsides of job variety of backgrounds. I can support and motivate my clients throughout their
❏ Job duties/responsibilities fitness journey, and if there is a career change afterwards, I can broaden my
❏ Salary range network in this way. However, the disadvantage is that the salary is not stable.
❏ Future outlook I think the job of a fitness instructor is determined by your level and the time
❏ Lifestyle factors you spend leading classes, and being a fitness instructor requires physical
❏ Advancement opportunities exertion and endurance. You will be on your feet for long periods of time,
demonstrating exercises, monitoring clients and assisting with the use of
equipment.
Assess client's fitness level and goals. Develop individualized exercise programs
and nutrition plans. Provide guidance on lifestyle and behavior changes to
support overall health. Demonstrate and explain the use of fitness equipment
to ensure the safety of the client during the workout but I think the most
important point is to use my own personal experience to demonstrate to the
client and find the movements that are at the user's level as well as correcting
the client's mistakes in a timely manner.
Entry-level trainers can earn around $25,000 to $35,000 per year, while
experienced trainers with a strong client base or expertise can earn $50,000 or
more per year. Independent trainers may charge anywhere from $30 to $100
per hour. But this is not stable, and like I said before, it will be determined by
the number of clients they have and the number of classes they lead, and
possibly the level of the gym they work at. And this salary level is similar to my
current trainer, who gets a percentage of the total price of the class.
The increasing emphasis on preventive health care and the popularity of
fitness trends contribute to the positive job prospects of fitness instructors, but
it is also important to improve one's professional skills
Being a personal fitness trainer can provide a vibrant and active lifestyle. I may
have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, engage in physical
activity, and have the flexibility to manage my schedule. However, it is
important to note that my hours may include early mornings, late evenings and
weekends to accommodate clients' needs. So the hours are very flexible. But
as a fitness enthusiast and client, coaching long irregular sessions, and
frequent changes in session times can make me uncomfortable

Three employability skills I possess 1. Communication

that will support my plan:
Effective communication is vital for personal fitness trainers. One needs to be
able to explain exercises clearly, provide instructions in the correct form, and
motivate and encourage clients. Good listening skills are also important in
Consider: understanding the client's goals and concerns.
❏ Soft and hard skills required for
position
❏ Personal attributes 2. Knowledge of kinesiology and physiology
Personal fitness trainers should have an in-depth understanding of exercise
science and the human body's physiological response to exercise. This
knowledge enables them to design safe and effective workout programs based
on the specific needs and goals of their clients.
3. Fitness equipment and technical knowledge
Trainers should be proficient in using and demonstrating a variety of fitness
equipment and techniques. This includes knowing how to properly use
machines, free weights and functional training tools, as well as understanding
different workout modalities such as aerobics, strength training and flexibility
training.

Education needed to pursue my plan: First of all, because I have a coach, I know of BCRPA certified. BCRPA is a non-
profit organization in British Columbia, Canada, that provides certification and
training for fitness professionals.
Consider: Personal trainer certification, obtaining personal trainer certification is usually
❏ Courses/training/certificates the first step. There are many well-known organizations that offer certification,
needed such as the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the National Academy of
❏ Post-secondary requirements Sports Medicine (NASM), the International Sports Science Association (ISSA)
and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Certified Precision Nutrition and Certified Nutrition Coach by the National
Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
