Course Introduction
This course has been designed as a compulsory subject for the students of Bachelor’s degree
program. The course has 2 credit hours and carrying 100 marks. This course introduces about
the history of Pakistan (for understanding the peculiarities of Pakistani society). This course
develops vision of historical perspective, government, politics, contemporary Pakistan,
ideological background of Pakistan.
Course Contents
1. Ideological rationale with special reference to Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-e-
Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,
2. Factors leading to Muslim separatism, Two nation theory
3. People and Land, Indus Civilization
4. Muslim advent
5. Location and geo-physical featuren,Political and constitutional phases,
6. Contemporary Pakistan, Economic institutions and issues,
7. Society and social structure, Ethnicity, Foreign policy of Pakistan and challenges,
8. Futuristic outlook of Pakistan
