Senate panel to examine NGCP operations; energy sectors suffering from integrity

Senator Risa Hontiveros appealed the Department of Energy and the National Grid
Corporation of the Philippines to request assistance with the ongoing crisis of the
country’s electricity operations. According to Hontiveros, blackouts and lack of electricity
supply are consistent every year. She also added that the DOE and NGCP should be
honest and transparent when it comes to energy supply and the compensation.
