INTRODUCTION
Marketing is one of the fundamental activities of a business entity or company, it
enables us to promote our services and products to customers. Various companies has
their own strategic planning in utilizing their marketing strategies to make sure that they
will perform efficiently. The creativity and competitiveness of their own teams  makes
them standout from the market, that will later on become the key to their success. Doing
research will also help in getting more information in order to know customers better
and improve the services and products a company can offer.

BACKGROUND
Mercury Drug Corporation is the Philippines’ leading pharmacy company, with its
founder Mariano Que.In 1945 after the World War II,he started to sell sulfathiazole or
what most people called as “miracle drug”  because it is believed that it can treat many
illnesses  like pneumonia and bacterial infections. He later decided to start his own
venture as an entrepreneur because of  an increase in demand of the said drug. At first,
Mariano sell medicines per tablet and vial or what Filipinos called “tingi-tingi.” Later on,
he had generated enough funds to buy a pushcart and the rest is history.
Today, Mercury Drug Corporation maintains its good reputation for the past years
giving quality service and products to its customers. Over  1,200 stores available
nationwide, providing wide variety of branded and generic medicines as well as other
personal hygiene products and medical devices. They are famous for giving free yearly
calendar to their customers.  The pharmacy also offers suki cards for their regular
customers where they can accumulate points in exchange of items like planners, pens
and umbrellas. Consistency become their key for achieving their huge success  and be
recognized or awarded as the Platinum Most Trusted Brand, Pharmacy/Drugstore
