Activities under Equity Action Plan (EAP)

Equity Action Plan (EAP) is an initiative of World Bank and the participating institutes are
advised to prepare their EAP and implement it. The core purpose of EAP is to bring equity in
the society starting from education. The EAP promotes equity in terms of Gender equality
by promoting Girls’ education and their safeguarding at educational institutions. EAP
promotes equity among various social castes by providing special assistance to such
categories in terms of academic support through additional measures. It also promotes
equity among faculty members by assisting them financially in taking up the various training
programs. In this regard, Dr. Prabhu Omer, Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering
Department, has attended one day sensitization workshop on Equity Action Plan on
November 19th, 2018 organized at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University),
Chandigarh.

The following activities has been conducted at M J P Rohilkhand University, Bareilly under
EAP:

1) Conduction of dedicating GATE classes for 3rd year and Final Year Students
2) Conduction of Employability Skill Training for 2nd Year students
3) Conduction of Remedial Classes for academically challenged students of 1 st year
4) Support to Faculties for updating their domain knowledge through FDP/STP/STTP.
