Q) A conducting rod of length ‘𝒍 ’ and resistance ‘𝒓’ slides at
constant velocity 𝒗 on two parallel conducting rails (as
shown) in a uniform Magnetic field B perpendicular to the
plane of rails. A resistance R is connected between two ends
of the rail. Find:
a) Induced emf in rod
b) Current in R
c) Force required to move rod with
constant velocity
d) Power input (Mechanical Power)by
applied force
e) Power output in both resistors
Q) As shown in the figure a metal rod makes contact and
complete the circuit. The circuit is perpendicular to the
