1. Why protocol 1: Jurisdictional Investigation by the Territorial Unit Concerned is very


important in the conduct of investigation?

The Police Unit which has territorial jurisdiction over the area where the
armed confrontation occurred shall immediately undertake the necessary
investigation and processing of the scene of the encounter. The Scene of the
Crime Operation (SOCO) team shall conduct Crime Scene Processing upon
request. In cases of armed confrontation wherein a suspect dies, the TL of the
operating unit shall submit the incident for inquest before the duty Inquest
Prosecutor prior to the removal of the body from the scene except in areas
where there are no Inquest Prosecutors. In which case, the territorial police unit
can proceed with the investigation.

This is important to follow the procedure on conducting of investigation


to take all the evidence and to preserve by the investigation team and process
the suspect killed in confrontation. This is to ensure that every single detail in
crime scene is well preserve so that the investigator and the TL of the team do
their duties.

2. How important is Chain of Custody in the conduct of Investigation?

The chain of custody is the most critical process of evidence


documentation. It is a must to assure the court of law that the evidence is
authentic. Every detail and evidence should preserved carefully. Since this
evidence is taking in the custody of crime investigator unit they must account
every piece of evidence and transport to the laboratory for examination and
until the time is allowed and admitted in the court. The chain of Custody proves
the integrity of a piece of evidence it require transparency by the victim. The
time will come and the evidence must present in court the process is known as
the chain of custody or chain of evidence.

3. Why attendance of Court duties are very important? Give some reasons?

Court duties should seek to ensure that the criminal justice system
effectively addresses all honour crimes and killings to ensure accountability for
the perpetrator and promote safety to the victim. The law should not have side
or be one sided and that is the one of importance of the attendance of Court
Duties to make sure that the hearing is well maintained, organized, and followed
the rules.

Court duties shall manage and promote efficiency and transparency of


and the opportunity for fair and timely disposition of the cases filed. To promote
justice in individual case. Court leaders must be able to carry out the
fundamental purposes and responsibilities of the courts. To do this, court leaders
must ensure that their courts are meeting these purposes and responsibilities
and to aspire to meet several specific goals.
