Let’s celebrate the coronation of

ONGC’s Mascot and India’s Pride Sagar Samrat is back in action in its new avatar as a MOPU. The ‘Samrat’
commenced production on December 23, 2023. To mark the occasion, a celebration has been planned on
January 28, 2023, at ONGC KV Grounds, Panvel Phase 1.

Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing and Urban
Development will grace the occasion and interact with the ONGCians and their family members.

An educational exhibition featuring models of ONGC’s rigs and platforms along with core samples will also
be held on the sidelines of the event.

The programme will begin at 2.00 pm and end at 7.00 pm with a colourful dance performance celebrating
‘Colours of India’.

In the run-up to the occasion, several competitions have been planned for ONGCians and their family
members. Prizes for the competitions will be announced during the event on January 28, 2023, at Panvel
KV grounds.
A) Elocution competition
Participants - Children in the age group of 5 - 7 years
Topic – My parent, the energy soldier
Duration - 1min video
Rules-
a)The video should not exceed one minute.
b)The video should be unedited without any breaks.
c)Video to be shot with any mobile.
d)Please hold the mobile in a horizontal position and shoot in a well-lit place.
e)The child should mention his/her name clearly at the beginning.
f)The entry should be named in the format ‘name of participating child_cpf no. of a parent'.
g)Total video size should be less than 25 MB.
h)Make the video in HD mode only (don’t use 4K or 8K).
i)Record video in fewer frames per second (fps). Normally 25,30 or 60 fps option is available.
j)If the file is more than 25MB, then convert the video file from Full HD (1080p) to 720p.
k)Don’t use any special converter for the video file, otherwise, it will be difficult to play it. Use simple video
formats like .mp4 or .mov

B) Drawing competition
Topic – Samudra Manthan - The search for treasure
Age group-
a) 8yrs to 12yrs
b) 12yrs to 16yrs
Rules
a) Size of drawing paper-A3
b) No restrictions in using colours – can use crayons, water colours, poster colours, etc.
c) Name of the participant, name of the parent with CPF No. must be mentioned at the back
d) A participant can send only one entry, in case we receive more than one entry, only one drawing will be
chosen.
e) The entries should be submitted to the office of I/c HR-ER at the work centre.
f) Last date for submission of entries 25th January 2023.
C) Self – written Poem (स्वरचित कविता)
Participants – Spouses of ONGCians
Topic:
a) Energy conservation
b) मेरा आत्मनिर्भर भारत
Rules-
a) Poem should be 8 -12 lines
b) Poem must be the participant’s original work.
c) Poem must be in Marathi or Hindi or English.
d) Poem can be typed or handwritten in legible handwriting on A4 size paper with double spacing and
scanned.
e) The entry should be named in the format ‘name of participating spouse_cpf no. of ONGC employed spouse.
f) Please mention the name of the competition in the subject and mail it to ankita@ongc.co.in.
g) Last date for submission of entries 25th January, 2023.
D) Photography competition
Topic - Energy & you.
Participants - all employees (both officers and staff)
Rules-
a) The contest is open for online submissions only.
b) Photos can be clicked by both mobile phones and DSLRs.
c) File size should not exceed 25 MB.
d) An employee can submit one entry only.
e) Only raw photos must be submitted.
f) Entries to be named in format name_cpf no.
g) Please mention the name of the competition in the subject and mail it to ankita@ongc.co.in.
h) Last date for submission of entries 25th January, 2023.
E) ONGC Crossword
Participants – all employees (both officers and staff)
Rules –
a) Lucky draw would be conducted at the site of all the correct entries and prizes would be given to 50 entries
b) The participants should take a printout, and fill in the crossword
c) Participants should mention their name and CPF NO. on top of the page.
d) The entries should be submitted to the office of I/c HR-ER at the work center.
