Definition of Terms

The following terms is defined each, for better understanding of the study:

John Sweller’s Cognitive Load Theory. suggests that our working memory is

only able to hold a small amount of information at any one time and that

instructional methods should avoid overloading it in order to maximize learning.

Learning Styles. an individual's learning style refers to the preferential way in

which the student absorbs, processes, comprehends and retains information.

System Analysis Approach. is the way of approach which determines the

system performance subject to the assumption that the system structure is known.

Visual Learning. is a type of learning style in which students prefer to use

images, graphics, colors and maps to communicate ideas and thoughts. Visual

learners must see information in order to learn it. These learners are likely to have a

photographic memory and may use color, tone and brightness to recall information.

In class, visual learners will benefit from seeing diagrams drawn out, for example,

on a chalkboard and in slideshows.
