To whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter to be accepted into a University of California or a California State

University. I am currently enrolled at Ripon High School and am a rising senior. I am searching
for a program that offers an associate’s degree for an ultrasound technician. I learned through
your program through my AP English Language and Composition class this past week through
the class’ final where we researched a variety of higher-education schools. Your university has
the program I am looking for and is the best fit for me as I have the capabilities to thrive in your
environment. I am qualified for this program because of all of my AP exams that have helped me
better prepare for college courses. These classes can help add value to your programs as I will be
committed to your program just as I was for all my advanced AP and honors courses that I took
all throughout high school.

I meet the qualifications for this program as I have taken AP Human Geography, AP
Environmental Science, AP English Language & Composition, and AP Spanish Language &
Composition. They have all taught me the importance of being responsible, having time
management skills, and to be creative. I’ve also been in English Honors 1-2, Math Honors 1-3,
and Biology Honors as well as Spanish Heritage 1 & 2. I’ve stayed committed to advanced
classes to further my education and learning and to get out of my comfort zone. I am always
willing to challenge myself and won’t back down from it. I enjoy learning new topics and how it
can be applied in the real-world, especially in my science classes when we learn about Climate
Change. I’ve also taken Track & Field all 3 years of high school along with Cross Country in the
fall semesters and I’ve been committed to orchestra for 6 years now and I’ve been accepted into
San Joaquin County Honor Orchestra for three years and have helped me play at a more
advanced, college level. I’ve also been given the MVP TVL League award twice at my high
school for being a student-athlete and maintaining over 3.5 GPA the whole school year.

If given the opportunity for your program, I am confident that I can be as committed and
responsible just as I was for all of my other extracurricular activities. When participating in
something I enjoy I don’t procrastinate, I’m responsible, and am committed. Your ultrasound
technician program will be a blessing as I will treat it extremely seriously while also being
