Family post: I was blessed with the best family as a kid.

My ultra-caring gorgeous Mum front row seated

left. My two favourite Aunts are in the photo and my dearest older cousin Linda , who was to become my
superhero looking after my 90-year old Mum in her last years while I was in America. Second row back is
my fabulous Aunt Sheila , who was neighbour, fantastic home cook (yummy) and Mum to my closest
cousins Jan and Susan. In the Sixties and Seventies I looked up to these oldens as family superstars.

My dearest Dad is standing back row on the right next to two of my three favourite Uncles, both named
John. The head of the family then was my "Nanny" (Grandmother) seated centre front row who had
eight children, my Mum being the eldest daughter.

I think this photo was taken around 1956 or 1957, just before I came on to the scene. Or maybe earlier
before my free-spirited and horse loving older sister Inga brought a lot of action to the family, with
summer holidays horse riding in the New Forest.

It was a family of adventures, characters and great love. I am blessed with so many wonderful memories
to treasure. I'm thrilled I stumbled across this photo as I was going through my iMac photo archive.
