 Cyberbullying: a concerning topic
Cyberbullying is defined as “the use of electronic communication to bully a person,
typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature”, this is a huge
problem in schools and as it was mentioned in the video it cannot be solved if parents
don’t control their children online activity.
School campaigns are an effective way to take care of this problem because it can
help to explain to the children how it affects the bullied kids, the reasons why they
shouldn’t do this, and what are the consequences that they may face if they do
harass any of the other kids, this campaigns can also help to promote the values of
the children.
Social media regulation is also something concerning due to the fact that most of the
social networks aren’t highly regulated or not regulated at all, the lack of regulation
makes it easier to harass the kids and to post personal information and violent
content against the kids, as said in the video social media must do more to stop
cyberbullying and to provide a safer environment to the users of this apps.
In conclusion, there are lots of ways to take care of this topic, but the one that the
government should take in to consideration the most is social media regulation
because it can have a greater impact in the whole population and control of the
situation.
