EPR SYSTEM

ERP stands for enterprise resource planning. It refers to the systems and
software packages p that organizations use to manage day-to-day
business activities such as accounting, procurement, project
management, risk management and compliance, and supply chain
operations. ERP provides an intgrated and continuously updated view of
core business processes using common databases maintained by a
database management system. ERP systems track business resources—cash, raw materials,
production capacity—and the status of business commitments: orders, purchase orders, and
payroll. The applications that make up the system share data across various departments
(manufacturing, purchasing, sales, accounting, etc.) that provide the data. ERP facilitates
information flow between all business functions and manages connections to outside
stakeholders.
An ERP system consists of software components, called modules, that each focus on an
essential business function, such as finance and accounting, HR, production, materials
management or customer relationship management (CRM). Organizations only use the
modules they need to run their particular business.
ERP evolved to embrace the internet with new features and functionality. Enter ERP cloud.
The cloud offers a more affordable alternative for ERP because it eliminates the need for
software and hardware or additional IT staff. ERP cloud enables organisations of all sizes
and across all industries to make significant cost saving improve business insight , enhance
collaboration and increase efficiency

An enterprise is comprised of different processes including HR management, finance

management, sales management, admin management, payroll management and so on. It is
very important to track the databases of each process at an enterprise level. To fulfill this
requirement, SAP developed various software solutions serving diverse purposes. SAP
system offers a range of modules and features that help run the core areas of businesses
across industries like finance, services, manufacturing, and more.

hierarchical manner and include a range of features and functions such as a fiscal calendar,
multi-entity financial reporting, transaction history, table master functionality, and the
automatic linking of sub-ledger accounts.
In Manufacturing Management, SAP system comes with slightly more manufacturing
management capabilities than the standard discrete ERP system. The software solution’s
robust module offers product data management, production and materials requirement
planning (MRP), field service and repairs, and other functional features to help manufacturers
meet their industry-specific requirements.
The Human Resources module helps organizations manage training, payroll, recruitment, and
other core HR-related business processes.
SAP Time Management improves the invoicing process by tracking the status of invoice
submission, process and completion. This system also helps the organization to track the
invested time and service from external employees. It enables to track the time span for
managing a service order towards completing it.

A software component bundles a set of packages that can only be delivered to customers
together. All packages are distributed disjunctively among software components. This means
that the objects in a package can only be delivered to customers with a software component.
You assign objects to a software component by assigning the package (containing these
objects) to a software component. In general there are several releases for each software
component.
