Nitrogen is a naturally occurring element
that is essential for growth and reproduction
in both plants and animals. It is found in
amino acids that make up proteins, in
nucleic acids, that comprise the hereditary
material and life's blueprint for all cells, and
in many other organic and inorganic
compounds.
Nitrogen is also a component of
the chlorophyll molecule,
which enables the plant to
capture sunlight energy by
photosynthesis, driving plant
growth and grain yield. Nitrogen
plays a critical role within the plant
to ensure energy is available
when and where the plant needs it
to optimize yield.
