Har noun (sangya) se pehle a/an/the lagta hai ye darshane ke liye ki ya toh wo ek hai, ya wo special hai.

‘a’ consonant se pehle use hota hai jiska noun singular hai.

‘an’ vowel se pehle use hota hai jiska noun singular hai.

‘the’ wahaan use hota hai jahaan humein pata ho ki hum kis cheez ke bare mein baat kar rahe hain.

Agar plural noun ho toh a/an nahi lagega.

Vowel sounds wale words se pehle ‘the’ ko (thee) ki tarah pronounce kiya jata hai.
