General Instructions: Your specific research topic must: (1) emanate from one subject from your five
major subjects in the MAED Educational Management Program, (2) be a specific topic that interests you so
much that it drives you to go on exploring theoretically and practically by conducting a serious online
review of related literature, and (3) be a research topic that provides issues or concerns or problems
necessitating an immediate intervention or solution. To satisfy these three criteria, you must be able to
perform a three-level chunking from a general concept into its corresponding specific concepts until you
will be able to come up with your specific research topic. The following are the specific research tasks:
Task 1.1 Chunk your MAED major subjects into five components to be reflected in the First Concept
Map, and choose one subject that highly interests you for a research review.
Task 1.2 Chunk the chosen subject into FIVE specific concepts to be reflected in the Second Concept
map, and choose one specific concept.
Task 1.3 Chunk the chosen one specific concept into more specific concepts, and choose one or two or
three concepts for your final research topic.
Task 1.4 If you have one or two or three very specific concepts, you have to conceptually integrate or
combine these concepts to come up with a very specific concept with two or three variables. Just below,
write the integrated or combined specific concept in a very short sentence. Just the same, write in one short
sentence your generated concept even if you have only one very specific concept as your research topic.
Note: At the end of this workshop, you must submit three specific research topics.
