    Capstone Update #3

    For this update, I will be getting a sketching book for the final copy and creating the final copy of
    the book starting by sketching out the drawings, and I am aiming to do 9 pages (18 pages in
    total). I will also start to research the ways that I can present the final product, such as printing
    and creating an e-book online. I will need my own time outside of school and capstone working
    blocks to select a sketching book and draw the final copy. I will need a personal space where I
    can put my laptop, storyboard papers, and the sketching book all at the same time so that I can
    work easier to have everything in front of me. I will need a new sketching book, pencils, and an
    eraser for this progress. The obstacle that I could have is that I lose track of my time
    management since all the other courses are getting busier all at once. I might also redo the
    same page to get it perfect as I want, and this would take me more time to finish a page than I
    expect.

    1. I went through how I could digitalize my drawing as one of the ways I consider that
    requires me to use Adobe Illustrator:

    2. I went to a retail store to pick up some supplies that I need for my final copy: a sketching
    book and coloured pencils.

    3. I sketched out 8 pages out of 18 for the final copy.

    The core skills I learned for this update were storytelling through images that the readers can
    understand without any text, composition and layout in visual arts, the consistency I have to
    maintain a certain drawing style to keep the work look belongs together, and perspective and
    proportion I need to create depth and dimension in drawing.

    The challenges that I encountered were visual engagement that I needed to find a way to be
    creative and maintain interest. Also, time management again in which I didn’t have a balance of
    doing a certain amount of work a day. Instead, I tended to do multiple pages in one day or one
    weekend.
