Here's a recipe for homemade windshield washer fluid with various additives:

Ingredients:

1 gallon of distilled water

1 tablespoon of dish soap (make sure it doesn't contain bleach or lanolin)
1/2 cup of household ammonia
1/4 cup of white vinegar
1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol
1/4 cup of commercial windshield cleaner
1/4 teaspoon of citric acid
Optional: a few drops of essential oils and food coloring
Instructions:

Mix the distilled water and dish soap in a clean container.

Add the household ammonia, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, commercial windshield cleaner, and citric
acid. Mix well.
If desired, add a few drops of essential oils and food coloring to give the fluid a scent and color.
Pour the mixture into your car's windshield washer fluid reservoir and use as needed.

The addition to the water that makes it slip and not stick to the glass is a surfactant. A surfactant is a
compound that reduces the surface tension of a liquid, allowing it to spread more easily. In windshield
washer fluid, the surfactant helps to break the surface tension of the water, allowing it to spread evenly
over the windshield and clean it more effectively.

The dish soap used in homemade windshield washer fluid contains surfactants, which is why it is an
effective ingredient in the mixture. Other commercial windshield washer fluids may also contain
surfactants, as well as other ingredients like alcohol, glycol, and detergents that help to improve the
cleaning performance of the fluid.

There are several other additives that can be added to homemade windshield washer fluid to improve
its performance. Here are a few examples:

Glycerin: Adding a small amount of glycerin to the mixture can help to prevent the fluid from freezing
in cold weather.

Hydrogen peroxide ( ‫)ماء األكسجين‬: Adding hydrogen peroxide to the mixture can help to remove
stubborn stains and grime from your windshield.

Lemon juice: Adding a small amount of lemon juice to the mixture can help to remove hard water
stains and mineral deposits from your windshield.

Cornstarch: Adding a small amount of cornstarch to the mixture can help to improve the viscosity of
the fluid, making it more effective at cleaning your windshield.
