Based on the fact that the current project is subject to feedback, explain how you can benefit from

self-
feedback through the four previous projects to improve your performance for the final project next year.
Give two examples to your answer.

As a STEM school student, I have completed four capstone projects with different teams, which have
contributed significantly to my academic and personal growth. These projects have provided me with the
opportunity to develop my research, teamwork, and leadership skills, as well as to learn from feedback
and improve my performance in subsequent projects.
Through self-feedback, I have been able to identify my strengths and weaknesses and work on improving
them. For example, in my first semester, I was nervous and lacked confidence in my abilities, which led
to me creating problems during meetings. However, through reflection and feedback, I was able to
identify this defects to work on it, which has helped me to become a more effective team member.
In addition, feedback from evaluators and mentors has been critical in helping me to improve my
academic skills, particularly in research. For example, after receiving feedback on my first capstone
project, I volunteered as a research assistant in several universities during the summer holiday, which
helped me to develop my research skills significantly. This improvement was reflected in my subsequent
capstone projects, where I was able to conduct more comprehensive and rigorous research.
Overall, self-feedback and feedback from others have been instrumental in helping me to improve my
performance and develop important academic and personal skills. As I prepare for my final capstone
project next year, I plan to continue applying the feedback system and self-reflection to ensure that I
continue to grow and contribute to the success of the project and the school.
New exhibition is about to occur, mention two points you didn’t implement in your prototype for some
reasons, explain these reasons, and how it can be overcome.
ANSWER:
As a STEM school student, I have gained a lot of experience through my participation in previous
capstone projects. However, despite our best efforts, there were certain limitations that prevented us from
implementing all aspects of our project prototype. One such limitation was financial constraints, which
affected our choice of sensors for the project. While there were more accurate sensors available on the
market, we were unable to purchase them due to budgetary constraints. Nevertheless, we researched and
identified the best sensor available within our budget to ensure that our system's performance was
optimized.

Another limitation that we faced was the lack of availability of a specific device to measure the
concentration of chlorophyll in our plant samples before and after using our system. This device is not
widely available in Egypt, and despite our best efforts to acquire it from research centers, we were unable
to do so. To overcome this limitation, we recommended that researchers who want to work on our project
in the future use alternative methods, such as spectrophotometry, to measure chlorophyll concentration.

It is essential to address these limitations to ensure that our project prototype is as comprehensive as
possible. To overcome these challenges, we took a problem-solving approach, identifying the best
available solutions within our constraints. Additionally, we recommended alternative methods for future
researchers to consider, which would help to mitigate the impact of limitations.

To sum up, This experience has taught me the importance of being resourceful and adaptable, which will
be invaluable in my future endeavors.
A feedback system is one that compares its output to given specifications and takes corrective
action to force the output to follow the predetermined specifications. And your output changes
according to the feedback. In the light of your studying the rate of change in MA 2.08 Explain
the changes in your output is it positive change, negative change or no change according to
your decision and why? Give an example.

In STEM School and in our life rate of change of anything is an important as we learned in math
to observe the change in the required parameters to note their changing according to how
quickly a variable is changing over time and it is often denoted by the derivative symbol d/dt but
it also has a limit definition as we define the derivative of a function f(x) at x = x0 as. f (x0) = lim.
h→0. f(x0 + h) − f(x0)

In a feedback system the rate of change can be important because it affects how quickly the
system responds to the change and make it feedback loop and determine its efficiency as the
rate of change can be positive or negative depending on whether the output is increasing or
decreasing over time. For example, our system depends on controlling the temperature tp be in
21-24C and light intensity to be in 10,000- 15,000 lux; as a result, when the sensor’s readings
get nearer to their required values there is a positive rate of change and when it get farther there
is a negative.
From your study of the loops in computer science(CS.2.05), explain how you benefited from this
study to make feedback, mention which types of loops you prefer, clarify why you choose this type.
In computer science ,loops are an important concept for controlling the flow of a program. During my
study of loops in computer science, I learned about the various types of loops, including the for loop, the
while loop, and the do-while loop. Each of these loops has its own characteristics and can be used in
different situations depending on the specific requirements of the system.
When it comes to implementing feedback in my capstone, I used the while loop. The while loop is a type
of loop that continues to put a set of statements as long as a certain condition remains true. This makes it
an outstanding choice for implementing feedback in a project because it allows the program to continually
monitor the required condition and respond accordingly.
For example, My capstone project required monitoring a LM35 DZ temperature sensor's readings and
adjusting the system based on those readings, I could use a while loop to continually check the sensor's
readings . As long as the sensor's readings remained within a certain range, the while loop would continue
to make a feedback loop, making editing as a necessary.
Overall, the while loop is a powerful tool for making a feedback system because of its ability to put a set
of statements as long as a specific condition remains true. Its flexibility and ability to adapt to changing
conditions make it a very good choice for the feedback systems.
