The great Mughal emperor Akbar founded the city in 1575 AD by the
name of IIAHABAS meaning “the city of Allah ,
Acknowledging the immense negational potential of its rivers and the
entrepreneurial importance of the city as a centre for boatmaking ,Akbar built
a magnificent fort over looking the quiet flowering Yamuna .the medieval
India ,the city enjoyed the honour of being the religion-cultural centre of the
country.
Long time it was provincial capital of the Mughals. Later Marathas captured
it. On the south-western extreme of Allahabad lies khusrobagh that antedates
the fort and has three mausoleums including that of jehandangiris first wife of
shah bengum
IN 1868AD it become a seat or justice when Allahabad high court was
established

IN 1887AD Allahabad is a fourth oldest university. It is rich in numerous
Victorian and georagian buildings made by synthesis with Indian architectural

mahatma gandi,anand Bhawan ,the home of Nehru
The transformation of the freedom struggle into a mass movement in the 1920’s made a Allahabad a
central of political pilgrimage as well.

The British history began in the year of 1801AD

After first war the town was named Allahabad

Ambala is a city and a municipal corporation in Ambala district in the state


of Haryana, India, located on the border with the Indian state of Punjab and in
proximity to both states capital Chandigarh
The town is said to derive its name from Amba Rajput who supposedly
founded it during the 14th century CE. According to another version, it is
named after the goddess "Bhawani Amba" whose Temple still exists in Ambala
city.
In 1709, Battle of Ambala was fought and Sikhs captured Ambala
from Mughals. It was under the rule of Gill Jats in the later medieval era

the Chaudharys and Lambardars of villages who participated in rebellion were
also deprived of their land and property, including 368 people
of Hisar and Gurugram were hanged or transported for life, and fine was
imposed on the people of Thanesar .Ambala and Rohtak
DANDAKA -litterlly means staff it is usually rectangular and square
The streets are straight and cross each other at right angles
