Communication English Midterm Test

Weight: 20% of your total grade

Evaluation method: Demonstration of Target Language Skill 40%;
Pronunciation / Syllable Stress / Pacing 30%; Grammar / Phrasing / Detail

Scoring: 5 sections, 10 points each, total 50 points
Length: Maximum 30 seconds per section, no minimum requirement
Time and place: by appointment, in our regular classroom
*Script: should be submitted TWICE.
First, submit it as copy-pasted text in our BAND chat room by Friday, Aril
14, 11:59 p.m., so I can check it.
Second, submit the final version as a .pdf or .docx (text document, not
image) in our chat room on BAND by Wednesday, April 26, 11:59 pm. The
script file name should include your name and student number, i.e.

1) Present tense (p. 5)

Who is your best friend? What does he / she usually do during the
week? What does he / she usually do on the weekend?

2) Present continuous (p. 5)

What are your friends doing right now as you take this test?

3) Past tense (p. 8)

Tell a story about the scariest experience you’ve ever had.

4) Present perfect (p. 19)

Start a conversation with me using a present perfect question. This
section is more likely to be improvised because you don’t know what I
will say.

5) Future tense (p. 33)

What are you going to do this summer vacation?
