Week 10 – Mission

Writing tasks

1. Holidays are an amazing opportunity for travelling, beginning new

activities or disconnecting from everything and according some time to ourselves.
In my opinion, I don’t think that breaks should be shorten because, the period of
three weeks is insufficient for a complet relaxation that will help students fell
better.
First of all, let’s take a look at the volume of information that kids need to
process during a school year. It’s a lot to learn and understand in short periods of
time. Because of this, students should have time to relax, doing what they really
like or just according some time for their own person.
Second of all, I understand that routines are part of our lives and that they
have some advantages, but I consider that they shouldn’t be present each and
every day. Getting out of your comfort zone is helping us in having a different
opinion about how life can be.
Third of all, I think that breaks are an excellent opportunity to evolve as a
person. You have time to think about yourself and see what you can do to
change your self esteem.
In conclusion, I’d say that breaks shouldn’t be shorten because the actual
time is helping everyone in relaxing.

5. Dear Diana,
I am really happy that you wrote me an opinion about the recent book that
we’ve red called 4.50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie and I’m glad that you
liked the plot.
I personally loved the ending and I was quite surprised to find out who the
killer was. What I didn’t really enjoyed about the final is that it didn’t had a lot of
details so I had some unanswered questions. Then, after a short period of time I
understood why he did that and what was the main reason. I appreciated that the
author let us think a little bit beyond what she wrote.
I don’t think I would change the ending at all. Maybe I would add more
details about the killer’s history and maybe see what the rest of the family did
after they found out who committed the murder.
I want to read more from her because she has an awesome style. If you
want to read again the same book, let me know in your next letter and if yes,
what should we start?
