COURSE GUIDE

1. Learning Modality – ONLINE


a. Synchronous (real time) – classes
b. Asynchronous – giving of instructions, assignments, exams & other relative
course information
c. Online Platform – Googlemeet or zoom
Note: Ensure that you have a stable internet connectivity

2. Oral Presentation Course Guidelines


a. ORAL PRESENTATION constitutes 30% of the final grading.
b. Each student is given a specific topic for oral presentation via googlemeet or zoom
platform and ensure that he/she has stable internet connection during his/her
schedule oral presentation.
c. The student must conduct research on his/her topic/s assigned from the different
open educational resources using the web/internet (i.e. e-books, or any relative
literature authored by reputable websites) or you may visit the school library.
d. The presentation must be prepared in a digital form (powerpoint presentation).
e. The presentation/discussion is at least thirty (30) minutes but not more 120 minutes.
The reporter is advised to summarize the topics and include literatures that are
recent and relevant of the times to comply the allotted time of presentation.
f. The topics should be presented orally with the powerpoint presentation during the
regular online class.
g. Presenter is required to open his/her camera during oral presentation. He/she shall
check his /her ppt ahead to avoid technical issues during the presentation.
h. For class reaction and participation, everybody is advised to listen attentively to the
presentation and discussion, and prepare his/her insights for the sharing session
after the report.
i. Everyone is expected to observe proper netiquette. (Proper attire during online
session, mute the speaker while somebody Is presenting his/her assigned topic/s)
j. STUDENTS’ CAMERA MUST BE SWITCHED ON during the entire session.
k. Must attend at least Sixty Percent (60%) of the total number of hours
per meeting.
l. Schedule of Classes. February 5, February 19, March 5, March 19,
April 2, April 22, May 7, and May 21. However, make-up classes will
be done for the missed meetings.

3. MIDTERM & FINAL EXAMINATION (30%)


a. Midterm & Final Examination will be given to the specified date or to be determined
by the professor.
b. Midterm & Final Examination constitutes Thirty (30) percent of the 100% grading.

4. SHARED LEARNING INSIGHTS/ATTENDANCE (10%)


a. For Online meet up – attendance is absolutely required
b. Everyone is required to share his/her learning insights of the topic presented

5. GRADING
a. Oral Presentation - 30%
b. Midterm/Final Examination - 30%

6. Operations Management Paper (30%)


a. You are tasked to develop an OPERATIONS PLAN for a start-up business
(product-producing or service firm in Dipolog City or Zamboanga del Norte) with
emphasis on different topics discussed in Operations Management course.
b. Be sure you have the contacts that will help you in your operations management
paper.
c. Ensure that your goals are supported by your operations strategies.
d. You should be able to define clearly state and define your vision, mission, goals
and objectives, upon which your operations strategies will be directed to.
e. Be guided with the due date for the submission of your final paper.
f. This will serve as your final requirement.
g. The Operations Paper will be submitted on or before May 21, 2023 constituting
30% of the total rating
h. Submission of Operations Management Paper will be through Schoology.
