8. Connect the IF Fin Wire Harness/IF Trim Harness from the Kit contents to the Main PWB
and route the harness through the existing harness clamps. (Figure 3)

5. If you have Finisher Tag 6 continue with step 7. If you do not have Tag 6 continue with
step 6 and install the Enablement Kit 498K18920.
6. Replace the Finisher PWB
a. Replace the Finisher PWB, (REP 17.3.1 in the finisher documentation) and replace it
with the one provided in the kit.
b. Check off Finisher Tag # 6.
7. Remove (1) screw and the face plate from the Finisher Rear Cover. (Figure 2)

10. Remove the Booklet Tray Docking Plate from the Finisher. (Figure 5)
9. Position the cable harness inside the clamp. (Figure 4)

12. Install the new Paper Guide (2 screws) and, if you have one, the Upper Docking Plate (2

13. Remove (2) screws from the Lower Right Cover. (Figure 8)
14. Attach the Lower Docking Plate using (2) long screws from the kit. (Figure 9)

16. Slide the Trimmer into position so it will dock with the Finisher.
NOTE: The wire removed from the Booklet Tray is not reconnected.
17. The tabs on the bracket should engage the holes on the trimmer. If needed, adjust the
height of the trimmer castors by loosening the nuts on the wheels and adjusting the bolts
accordingly. (Figure 11)

20. Reinstall the Trimmer Right Rear Cover.
21. Using (1) screw, mount the Wheel Assembly, and install the Wheel Cover into the slots in
the frame. (Figure 14)

Preliminary Actions
j. Ensure the SquareFold Trimmer is switched on and set the trim length to 205.0 mm.

1. Booklet Skew Adjustment
Procedure
1. On the UI, Customer Mode:
2. From the Copy tab, select the appropriate 11x17 Tray.
3. Select Save.
4. Select the Output Format tab.
5. Select Booklet Creation.
6. Select Booklet Option: On.
7. Select Fold & Staple: Fold Only.
8. Load 3 sheets 8.5x11LEF in the DADF
9. Press Start.
Adjustment
1. Check the fold position.Check that A=B inside the booklet, as shown in Figure 1
2. If A=B, the adjustment is complete.
3. If A is not equal to B, perform the following to adjust the skew.
2. When the top leaf is longer (Case 1), subtract from the current NVM Value.
3. When the bottom leaf is longer, (Case 2), add to the current NVM Value.
NOTE: Perform this adjustment after adjusting the Booklet Skew Adjustment. The NVM value
for the fold position adjustment varies depending on the paper size, number of sheets and
whether the staple function is On/Off.
NOTE: Always use SEF paper in the trays, 4127 or 700DCP to create a booklet. On a Xerox
4112/4127 machine, Tray 3 and Tray 4. On a Xerox 700DCP, use Tray 2 and 3. Select the
appropriate 11x17 SEF tray… or select the appropriate 8.5X11 SEF tray… to perform the
booklets.
5. After adjustments are completed, exit UI Diagnostic and perform customer test again until
the target is obtained.
5. Staple Position Front to Rear
Purpose
To adjust the staple position to the specified values when making a Booklet. This adjustment
corrects the staple position in the Front and Rear direction.

1. Use any booklet previously made and check the distance X1.
