Dear Parents or Guardians,

Let me introduce myself, I am a graduate of Texas A&M University of Galveston with a

degree in Marine Biology. I am looking forward to a new school term as your child’s
teacher. This year will be an exciting time for all of us. We will study biology in
preparation for the successful completion of the state’s standardized tests next spring. I
have planned many activities throughout the course of the year that are designed to
help your child succeed academically, not only this year but also in the future.

Students and their parents or guardians are naturally curious about the amount and
types of homework to be assigned this term. There will be homework assignments on
Tuesday and Thursday nights. You should expect to see your child spending at least 30
to 45 minutes reviewing, reading, working on projects, or studying. A copy of the weekly
schedule will be given to each student to keep in his or her binder as well as posted on
the school’s website. In addition, students are expected to copy their assignments into
their assignment notebooks at the start of class each day.

When you have questions or wish to talk with me about your child, please feel free to
e-mail me at brennasutter@gmail.com or call me at school. Our number is
903-258-4532.

I am looking forward to working with my new students this year. I look forward to
meeting you and working with you to help your child succeed.

Best wishes,

Brenna L. Sutter
