A world class and independent electric power industry regulator that equitably
promotes and protects the interests of consumers and other stakeholders, to enable the
delivery of long-term benefits that contribute to sustained economic growth and an
improved quality of life.
Three large resettlement sites of Mt. Pinatubo eruption victims were also energized
by the coop, the O’Donnell Resettlement Site in Capas, which was already converted into
a full-pledged barangay named Barangay Cristo Rey; Dapdap, and Mainang Resettlement
Sites in Bamban. From the original 205.039 kilometers of lines energized taken over by
Tarelco II, it has now reached 1,426.642 kilometers with a density of 58 consumers for
every kilometer of line. The coop also employs 175 regular employees registering an
employee-consumer ratio of 1:475 (1 employee for every 475 consumers). Said ratio is
far above that the NEA suggested 1:350 ratio.
M Lhuillier
“The steadfast growth, commitment to quality and trustworthy service enables
M Lhuillier to continuously uphold the brand promise of being the “Tulay ng PaMLyang
Pilipino.”
This legacy started in 1935 with the opening of the first chain of pawnshops,
known locally as "agencias," all over the nation. In addition, Henry Lhuillier and his
wife, Angelita Escano Jones, an honorary French Consul in the 1970s, had established
themselves in the jewelry, loan, and candy manufacture and distribution industries. In the
1980s, the M. Lhuillier Group of Companies was established by his son, Michel Jones
Lhuillier, and his wife, Amparito Llamas Lhuillier, in what is thought to be the nation's
oldest avenue, Colon Street, in Cebu City. With this, Michel Lhuillier envisioned
growing the business by opening over 1,000 M. Lhuillier locations throughout the
Philippines during the following 30 years. With more than 3,000 locations nationwide,
M. Lhuillier has since established itself as the biggest non-bank financial services
network in the Philippines. As president and CEO of the business, Michael Lhuillier, the
son of Michel Jones Lhuillier, represents the current generation of relatives. Nowadays,
M. Lhuillier locations may be found all across the Philippines, from thriving commercial
centers to quiet neighborhoods and remote barangays. M. Lhuillier has now created a
significant international presence through collaborations with a number of reliable
partners in approximately a hundred nations across the world.
After World War II, the M. Lhuillier Group of Companies, also known as M.
Lhuillier, started out as a jeweler and pawnbroker business. Today, it is one of the biggest
non-bank financial institutions in the Philippines, offering services like quick cash loans,
domestic and international money transfers, insurance, logistics, bill payment, and
microinsurance. The M. Lhuillier Group of Companies and the brand it symbolizes
operate across a number of industries, including real estate development and
construction, agriculture and food production, distribution of bottled water, fine wines,
and gourmet goods. The company expanded in 2017 with the inauguration of Cebu Safari
and Adventure Park in Carmen, Cebu, which is now regarded as the country's largest
zoological park. For the M. Lhuillier Group of Companies, expanding into new industries
is the real "jewel of a find" because it gives them more opportunities to serve the millions
of customers who live in the Philippines or abroad and to keep delivering dependable,
top-notch customer service with a proudly Filipino flair.
M. Lhuillier is a firm believer in returning favors to the customers and clients who
have trusted them with their business. One of the various ways they think it is proper to
express their thanks and humble appreciation to the public is by giving blood to people in
need.
