LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of this lesson you are expected to:


1. Identify the different ICT tools use for teaching and learning.
2. Know the different functions of the ICT tools.
3. Know the benefits of using ICT tools in teaching and learning and how it will help you as a
future teacher.

INTRODUCTION:

What is stands for ICT? What are the ICT tools use for teaching and learning? What does Goerge
Couros mean “Technology will never replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of a
great teachers in transnational.”
The current learning system employ technologies by integrating ICT tools and
applications in education and instruction. ICT stands for Information and Communication
Technologies. It refers to the various tools and devices or gadgets use for communicating,
disseminating, creating, storing and managing information. It is important for us as future
teachers to be able to maximize and utilize the use of different technologies in teaching and
learning. Being able to use the different technologies in teaching will help us understand how to
use this tool at the same time helping our future learners in their learning.
The use of ICT tools in teaching and learning will widen the range of the teaching and
learning process. This will also provide a lot of possibilities on how the learners and teachers
can do something with what they know to become a good productive citizen.

devices or gadgets use for communicating, disseminating, creating, storing and managing
information.
