Quarterly (January-March) Discipleship Ministry Report

To: Pastor Robert Ellis

From: Sister. Angella Brown
Cc: Church Board and Saints

The Discipleship Ministry greets everyone in the matchless name of Jesus and thanks all
members for their combined and individual support that has contributed to the
progression of the Ministry. Your prayers are indeed received and with God’s strength,
we will not cease the searching and nurturing of new souls that have entered the
Kingdom of God. The Discipleship Ministry is therefore pleased to present the progress
of our endeavors throughout the January-March 2023 period.

● Prayer is conducted on a monthly basis - This is to encourage converts to build

their Prayer life and foster spiritual development.

● Contact is made with converts weekly via WhatsApp messaging and/or phone to
ensure they have been coping with this new life. They have shown much
appreciation in this regard.

● “Verse of the Day” and Daily Bible Lessons Initiative - A Bible verse is
communicated in the discipleship group on WhatsApp each morning which is
geared towards passively teaching the word and encouraging everyone in the name
of Jesus. A lesson from various mature saints then follows, to edify converts and
engage in meaningful discourse about how it may relate to their life. It can be
concluded that this initiative is very impactful as students are always well engaged
and express their gratitude during each day.

● Discipleship Graduation - The discipleship annual graduation was held on

Sunday, March 26, 2023 in the sanctuary. Praise God, it was a success!

● (number of students) joined the ministry and by extension, the WhatsApp group
in an effort to keep in contact and engage with each other outside the walls of the
sanctuary.

● The ministry continues to host its Sunday School sessions under the guidance of
numerous teachers who present on a new lesson each week including a formal
welcome to the body of Christ, What to expect on the journey and the meaning of
Salvation.

● Two (2) students are in the process of travelling overseas. We are therefore
earnestly seeking prayers for journeying mercies and their safe arrival and return
in Jesus name.

As we continue to encourage each other and seek the Lord’s face in everything we do, let
us keep Ephesians 4:3-6 in mind:

Endeavouing to keep the unity in Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one
Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith one baptism,
One God and Father of all, whois above all, and through all, and in you all.

May the Lord bless us all.
