Direction : Make a reflection paper about Guest Service in Hospitality and Tourism Industry.

Customer service is crucial in all industries, especially the tourism industry. They are responsible in
providing the guest hotel stay which is by offering assistance to the individual needs and requests of all
guests. Assure them of their enjoyment, welcome, and comfort. In particular, by catering the customers
needs and wants will give the positive first impressions that will keep them coming back.

Since the hospitality sector is one of those that offers services, it is primarily concerned with keeping
customers satisfaction and enjoyable experience because they are the ones who pay us and help our
hotel operation to increase revenue and be successful. According to Jayson Hamilton, the hospitality
industry thrives on customer service because it cannot function without customers. Hospitality includes
lodging, tourism, transportation, and even something like a theme park. All of these businesses rely on
customers to succeed. If no one is staying at a hotel, the hotel will close because it has many
competitors. Customers will always choose the business that has the best customer service, because
customers want to feel valued and appreciated. They also want to feel they’re getting the best possible
experience for their money. 

In this scenario, the hospitality industry would provide accommodation and catering services, while the
tourism industry would provide the transportation and sight-seeing services. This kind of collaboration is
beneficial for both industries as it allows them to cater to the needs of tourists, who are looking for an
all-inclusive experience.
