(Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara)

Museum Macan (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara) is an art


institution located in Jakarta, Indonesia. This museum was founded by Haryanto Adikoesoemo,
a prominent art collector, with the aim of introducing modern and contemporary art to
Indonesian society as well as providing a platform for local and international artists to create
and share their work.

The Macan Museum is located in the Kebon Jeruk area complex, West Jakarta, and is
designed in a modern and futuristic architectural style. The museum building has an area of
around 4,000 square meters and consists of several floors displaying various works of art from
various periods and genres.

When entering the Macan Museum, visitors will be greeted by a bright and airy reception
room. At the MACAN Museum (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara) there
are various works of modern and contemporary art from leading Indonesian and international
artists.

1. "Smile" by Affandi: An iconic painting by Affandi featuring facial expressions with bright and
strong colors.

2. "Unity in Diversity" by Raden Saleh: One of the famous paintings by Indonesian painter Raden

3. Tangkas by FX Harsono: An art installation that reflects Chinese cultural identity in Indonesia
by combining traditional and contemporary objects.

4. "Negeri-Negeri" by Eko Nugroho: This mural art depicts fantasy worlds and popular cultural
images in the form of colorful illustrations.

5. "Paradise Lost" by Heri Dono: An art installation that presents an imaginative world and is full
