The World's Greatest Aircraft
The Type 11 was the fighter largely instrumental for the defeat of the 'Fokker
Scourge' in 1916. planned as a competition sesquiplane to take part in the Gordon
Bennet
Trophy race of 1914, the first Type 11 was designed and built in a mere four
months. The outbreak of World War 1 led to the race's cancellation, but the Type 11
was
nonetheless recognized as posessing the performance and flight characteristics to
make it a useful military aircraft. Early Type 11 aircraft were powered by the 60-
kW
(80-hp) Le Rhone rotary engin, and were used by the french and British as scouts
from 1915. The aircraft's apparent daintiness led to the nickname Bebe (Baby). The
Type 11 was then turned into a fighter by the addition of a machine-gun on the
upper-wing centre section to fire over the propeller's swept disc. many more
aircraft
were built.

First Jet powered fighter:
Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe (Germany)
Even though this plane was built by the Nazi's in the 1940's it says that is was
arguably the most advanced fighter to enter service in world war two.
This plane was one of the most important planes of world war two since it can carry
alot of power through bombs and have Anti-Aircraft guns mounted into it for
protection.
This plane was small with a few .303 inch machine guns but it can drop 260kg of
pure kaboom that people would disappear if they get hit.
This plane was big and it used the engines above almost on top of the wings which
would help with people walking beneath it while the engines are still on
since it would reduce the amount of deaths or its just to allow bigger propellers
to be attached onto the engines.
This little plane was capable of landing and taking off on both land and sea.
