1. Comprehension Passage- Select a current news item and prepare a reading comprehension
worksheet.

Follow the given steps to prepare the worksheet. You need to frame questions as per the below
given suggestions. You need not give the answers.

Q1. Choose the correct answer. 4 Multiple choice questions.

Q2. Answer briefly in 20-30 words 3 questions for 2 marks each.

Q3. Answer the questions based on vocabulary. 2 questions to pick out the synonyms for the given
words. 2 questions to pick out the antonyms for the given words.

Q4. One value-based question for 3 - 4 marks.

2. Travel Brochure- Create a travel brochure on any one of the following-

a) Italy

b) Nepal

c) Nigeria

d) Ukraine

e) Greece

3. Paragraph- “Education’s purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one.” —Malcolm
Forbes.

Write a paragraph in 150 words expressing your views on the same.

4. Create a graphic organiser on the prose A Shady Plot.

5. Compose a poem on any one virtue from the prose Two Gentlemen of Verona.

Write a sequel to the story on Two Gentlemen of Verona

6. Dialogue Writing

Write a dialogue between two friends on the observation given below:

The current rate of animal extinction is much higher than the natural or historical rate. Habitat loss is
the primary cause of higher extinction rates.

Note: Except the travel brochure, all activities must be done on A4 size papers/ coloured papers.
