Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, and fellow citizens,

Today, we gather here to witness and celebrate a significant moment in

our shared journey as a community, as we witness the oath-taking
ceremony of NAME. This occasion marks a solemn commitment to serve,
uphold, and protect the values and principles that bind us together.
Taking an oath is not merely a symbolic gesture; it is a profound
declaration of one's dedication to a cause greater than oneself. It is a
promise to act with integrity, empathy, and responsibility, guided by the
principles of justice, fairness, and equality. Today, we witness the birth of a
leader, a public servant who steps forward willingly to shoulder the
responsibilities entrusted upon them by their fellow citizens.
As you all know, the eagle is renowned for its unparalleled vision. With
eyesight that surpasses that of most creatures, the eagle can spot its prey
from great distances and accurately assess its surroundings. This
exceptional vision serves as a reminder for us to maintain a clear and
focused perspective in our own lives, enabling us to identify opportunities
and navigate challenges with precision and foresight.
Secondly, the eagle possesses immense strength and agility. It soars
through the skies with grace and elegance, effortlessly riding the currents
of the wind. This physical prowess serves as a testament to the importance
of resilience and adaptability. Just as the eagle adjusts its wings to harness
the power of the wind, we too must learn to adapt to changing
circumstances and use them to our advantage. Through resilience, we can
overcome obstacles and rise above adversity, just as the eagle soars above
the clouds.
Another remarkable characteristic of the eagle is its fearlessness. When
faced with adversity or danger, the eagle does not retreat or cower in fear.
Instead, it confronts challenges head-on, demonstrating courage and
unwavering determination. This fearlessness reminds us that we, too, must
embrace courage in our lives. It encourages us to step outside our comfort
zones, take calculated risks, and pursue our dreams with unwavering
conviction.
On the other hand, Eagles are fearless an eagle will never surrender to the
size or strength of its prey. It will always give a fight to win its prey or
regain its territory. Try and watch the video on how the Golden Eagle
displays remarkable hunting strategy, preying on goats much larger than
itself by throwing them off the cliff face. No matter what the size of that
person or what weapon they may be holding, you would attack them
without thought or regard for yourself. It wouldn’t even dawn on you to be
afraid because your instinct is to protect that which you love and cherish.
Successful leaders are fearless. They face problems head on.
Eagles are High Flyers. An eagle doesn't mingle around with the pigeons. It
was Dr. Myles Munroe who said that. Pigeons scavenge on the ground and
grumble and complain all day long. Eagles are not. They fly and make less
noise waiting for opportunities to strike their next prey or glide with the
current of the storm. Great leaders are problem solvers. They don't
complain like the pigeons do. They love to take challenges as the eagle
does when the storm comes.
Today, as we witness the oath-taking of (NAME), let us renew our
commitment as citizens. Let us remember that our engagement and
support are crucial to the success of our leaders. It is through collaboration
and active participation that we can collectively shape a future that we can
be proud of, a future that cherishes the values we hold dear.
So, let us stand together in solidarity, united in purpose and vision. Let us
support and hold accountable those who have chosen to serve us. And let
us never forget that the power to create change resides not only in the
hands of our leaders but within each and every one of us.
Let it serve as a reminder of the immense potential that lies within our
community. Together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive future, one
step at a time.
Thank you, and may this oath-taking ceremony be the beginning of a
transformative journey for NAME and for all of us.
