PRODUCT
3.1 Product Description
Cucumber is traditional Filipino comfort food. Therefore, the owners created a line of unique,
healthy snacks featuring bananas as the main ingredient. These snacks are known as "JUAN’S
CUCUMBER”. They are offered different: ube cucumber chips, cucumber juice and cucumber tuna
sandwich. These healthy snacks are delicious and novel to customers' tastes, and they will be sold
at a reasonable price of 10 pesos. These snacks satisfy hunger and are a healthier snack option in
comparison to junk food and street food. Nowadays, many students often opt for unhealthy choices
because of taste. Therefore, the Juan’s Cucumber Store aims to reduce the unhealthy food
consumption of students by serving these delicious snacks with nutritional value.
The business aims to sell fresh and raw cucumber products to students at Central Philippines State
University. These snacks are produced not only to taste good but also to meet safety and sanitation
measures to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
3.2 Packaging
The finished cucumber products will be skewered on bamboo sticks, the traditional and most
common way of serving the snacks to the customers. Customers who purchase more than two
Cucumber snacks, sticks will be given small paper bags, or "bolsitas," with the brand logo. Instead of
packaging our snacks in plastic, the business plan is to have them packaged on “bolsitas” that are
biodegradable so that it may help achieve a cleaner and more sustainable environment,
emphasizing the store's commitment to preserving the planet.
3.3 Promotion
In promoting the business, the proponent will be distributing flyers and will place tarpaulins in
populated areas such as markets, streets, and highways. This is for the customers to be well
informed about the existence of the Juan’s Cucumber Store. In advertising the business, the store
will be utilizing social media such as Facebook and Instagram. The business will be creating a
Facebook page and Instagram account to post all the information and announcement regarding the
business.
MARKET ANALYSIS SUMMARY
The Juan’s Cucumber Store focuses on providing a fresh, delicious and healthy "Cucumber" to
students, local residents, as well as teachers, and employees from nearby establishments. The
business also welcomes other potential customers, such as tourists, who want to come and visit the
store.

4.1 Market Segmentation

Juan’s Cucumber targets the market's middle-to-upper-income segment. These market segments
consume the majority of deep-fried products.
4.2 Target Market Segment Strategy
The intended target market for the Juan’s Cucumber are the students, Teachers and Employees of
Central Philippines State University. The quality of the product, friendly customer service, and
affordable pricing are all important factors in retaining and growing the business's target market.
4.2.1 Market Needs
There are only a few local Filipino desserts in Province in Hinobaan. The people there are always
willing to try new flavors and foods that are unfamiliar to them. The business came up with the idea
to sell a uniquely healthy snack that is new to the taste of its customers, which is the Fresh and Raw
Cucumber. This product will be ideal for hungry, food-craving students and passersby. Along with
other local Filipino desserts, it will be a consistent local delicacy.
4.3 Service Business Analysis
Local citizens patronizing local food desserts, most likely for quick snacks, are constantly going
forward. There are numerous vendors who are continuously making a business out of Filipino
desserts for years and are still not out of business. Even with the low competition, Cucumber
Delicacy is uncommon in any location in Province of Hinobaan. Thus, it is ideal for customers to try a
new-to-the-area product that they can enjoy as a snack or a craving satisfaction food. Despite low
competition in the immediate area, Juan’s Cucumber will position itself as a place where customers
can enjoy a delicious and nutritious snack with fast and friendly customer service.
4.3.1 Competition and Buying Patterns
The competition in the local area is not that strong and does not provide the same product as
offered. Most local competitors sell products that are common and can be found in different areas
of town. Leading competitors purchase and cook good-quality cucumber, blended with flour and
sugar or melted sugar, in a variety of styles that use the same equipment and sell these items
primarily through food stalls near schools, but this is common nowadays. Therefore, the planned
store will sell a different and uniquely healthy snack featuring bananas as the main ingredient.
STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION SUMMARY
5.1 Competitive Edge
Juan’s Cucumber Store's competitive edge is that there is relatively low competition in the local
area. Even though Juan’s Cucumber is not a big-time type of business, it still has a considerable
number of competitive advantages over other stores, such as yumminess and freshly prepared
snacks. Juan’s Cucumber will only sell what is freshly manufactured for that day and will
manufacture the product every day. By doing so, we will serve freshly prepared snacks that will
satisfy the cravings of the consumers.

MANAGEMENT SUMMARY
Ube Cucumber Chips is majority-owned by millennials who hold a bachelor’s degree in financial
management. With little support, the first management staffs are entirely dependent on the
founders. As we expand, we'll hire more assistance in a few crucial areas. Our fundamental principle
allows us to operate our senior management as a fellowship that engages in "knowledge exchange."
We do not increase our overhead until it is required. The initial staff support team will have to put
in more effort as a result. This will enable us to staff our store appropriately while maintaining as
low an overhead as feasible. This will also enable us and potential business partners to enjoy a
larger return and a faster investment income loss.
Ube Cucumber Chips is currently owned by its founders. When the time is right, all who have
contributed to the growth of this business endeavor will be given the chance to expand alongside it,
and when that moment comes, the founders' share will be consolidated into a single entity.
However, because of the investors’ other commitments, both professionally and personally, they
will not be taking part in the day-to-day management of the business. A manager will be hired
employees to oversee the overall operation.
The table below shows the product costing of "Ube Cucumber Chips." Ube Banana Crunch is one of
the main products in the store. This product will be used for the presentation. The total expenses of
