Pipesim optimization software: is a simulator to carry out the following functions:The

description of the operational parameters for our case study well (MDZ547) :Pwf, Qliq Oil density,
water-cut, GOR, skin surrounding the well, well radius, drainage radius, well equipment
optimization, well performance analysis, and production optimization are some of the fluid and
reservoir metrics

2-Functioning of the software:

Following the selection and creation of the well model,Put the reservoir's specifications here:
PFS, PFD, Tres, Q. After that enter the well's specifications:Pt, surface T , length and inner diameter
of the casing, length between the packer and the well's bottom, inner diameter of the casing. Finally
describe the fluid type:Black oil in our example
figure

PFS:pressure of static fund

PFD:pressure of dynamic fund
Tres;reservoire temperature
Q:flow rate
WHP:well head pressure
Ts:surface temperature
ID:inner diameter
GOR:gas oil ratio
(P/T) PROFILE : curve depending on pressure and temperature profile
NODAL ANAYSIS :The nodal analysis method is applied at two main node points (wellbore and
wellhead), where inflow and outflow performances are carefully reviewed with sensitivity analysis.
PHASE ENVELOPE :Phase envelope is a useful thermodynamic analysis tool of hydrocarbon
mixtures. The phase equilibrium is explored over a large range of pressures and temperatures, up to
the critical point (CP), by bubble and dew points series.

5-ENVELOPE ADE
This program is used in our case study to specify the well's asphaltene precipitation circumstances.
By the modeling of the asphalt deposit envelope (ADE).The asphalt deposit envelope is an effective
tool for evaluating the potential and severity of asphalt problems. The ADE indicates the
thermodynamic path that must be followed when oil is recovered from the tank to avoid or
minimize asphalt problems. If possible, the oil should be kept outside or as far away as possible
from the ADE center (Fig.)

(180to190)bar ,the floculation pressure threshold, asphaltene remains in the liquid phase and there
is no flocculation of asphalts. Asphaltane instability occurs when the pressure is between the upper
onset points(P=190bar;T=750C) and the bubble point :
[pressure(150bar),temperature(1200C)]. The substance has two phases: asphalte oil. Between
the bowl point and the lower onset point, we have three phases : gas/oil/asphaltens.When the
tank pressure drops below the lower onset point the asphalt particles are completely re-
dissolved into the liquid phase where the fluid is in the diphasic zone (gas-oil).(fi

:During the deployment isotherm the reservoir fluid and as long as the pressure does
not reach the PAOP (180to190)bar ,the floculation pressure threshold, asphaltene
remains in the liquid phase and there is no flocculation of asphalts. Asphaltane

gas/oil/asphaltens.When the tank pressure drops below the lower onset point the
asphalt particles are completely re-dissolved into the liquid phase where the fluid is
in the diphasic zone (gas-oil).

7-CONCLUSION :The well is a condidat of damage caused by asphaltens because it is in the

precipitation zone of asphalteens, when pressure is between (150-190)bar and temperatures are
between (75-120)0C
