Yugto: Exploring Mental Health through a Mini Concert

Introduction

The third most prevalent form of impairment in the Philippines is mental

illness. According to estimates, six million Filipinos suffer from depression and
anxiety, ranking third in the Western Pacific region for the prevalence of mental
health issues. A mental illness significantly influences our emotional, psychological,
and social health. It affects our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Several
individuals who went through this did not live up to their hopes that they would be
well after receiving therapy. It takes some of them a year to recover from this issue.

Mental health determines how you think, feel, and act. Good mental health is
when you feel positive about yourself and cope well with the pressures of everyday
life. It includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we
think, feel, and act. Understanding mental health will help us determine how we
handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. because Mental health is
essential at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

Yugto is a public event in which anybody may take part. Helping those who
are going through this is the goal of this action. We aim to support one another,
unwind, and encourage everyone to strive for excellent mental health. The
participants will provide the dedication they need for just a short period.

Discussion

Yugto (n.) is a fundamental transition or development of a story or

phenomenon.

It has long been proven that music positively affects our emotional well-being,
including improving mood, decreasing anxiety, and managing stress, thus improving
our mental health. This activity entitled “Yugto: Exploring Mental Health Through a
Mini Concert” aims to be that one transition for its audience to further understand
and develop their mental health status. This concert will be filled with discussions
about mental health but also infused with music to which many can relate.

The yugto: Exploring Mental Health Through a Mini Concert will be held at
dream zone, provincial capitol grounds, Batangas City. We will also seek out local
bands and artists that also support mental health awareness and convince them to
perform at the concert.

This activity is open to all, but we will have a budget-friendly admission fee.
The funds collected from the admission fees will directly go to the mental health
facilities in and out of Batangas and to those in need of financial assistance for their
mental health issues.
