1. Situation to get the previous knowledge .

 Teacher greets to the students and then she asks for the date. What date is it
today?
Today is Monday, July 23rd, 2007
 Teacher elicits the class using watch. After that, teacher presents the topic :
“Telling time”

2. Situation to elaborate the new knowledge

 Teacher presents the new vocabulary using a wall paper.

VOCABULARY:

It’s seven o’clock in the morning. It’s twelve o’clock.


It’s noon.

It’s four o’clock in the afternoon. It’s seven o’clock in the evening.

It’s twelve o’clock at night.


It’s midnight.

PRESENTATION:
Listen and read.
 Teacher reads the dialogue, then students repeat after her,
 Teacher divides the class into two groups to read it, and then teacher asks for
volunteers to read the dialogue.
 They try to translate it.

Peter : Good morning. How are you?


Julie : Good morning. I’m fine.
Peter : Excuse me, what time is it?
Julie : It’s eight – thirty.
Peter : Are you sure?
Julie : Yes, I am
Peter : Thank you.
Julie : You’re welcome.

READING COMPRENHENTION:
Read again and answer the following questions:

GRAMMAR FOCUS:
Teachers explain the grammar using a watch. After that they are going to make the
