ANTI-AGEING PREVENTION
Prevention was assessed by analogy with a cream stability test. Under harsh conditions, it is possible to measure the appearance of signs of ageing on the skin after
application of a placebo or an active product for 6 months.
Double-blind clinical study in Mauritius (Dermscan Laboratories) on 2 groups of 25 panellists recently arrived on the island. (Mean age 39). Each group of subjects
applied twice-daily either a placebo or a cream containing 5% Venuceane™.
Moisture maintenance Kinetics Placebo (%) Venuceane™
TEWL was measured with a Tewameter. W4/W0 +7% ns -6% ns
The skin under extreme conditions undergoes significant water loss. W12/W0 +10% ns p=0.081 +5% ns
The product with Venuceane™ stops the dehydration phenomenon. W24/W0 +11% p=0.057 +1% ns

Quality of the Stratum Corneum

Stratum corneum after 24 weeks
With ageing, skin structure loses organization and cohesion.

Venuceane™ promotes epidermal integrity.

With ageing, skin exhibits more spots, wrinkles and blemishes.

For the treated panellists, Visia® system detected a decrease for all
the visible parameters of skin ageing. Placebo

Panellists treated with placebo underwent accelerated ageing (~ 3 years in 6 months).

The preventive treatment compensates this ageing and allows to save ~5 years in 6 months.
