Thermus thermophilus

Function:
Reinforcement of the cutaneous barrier.
Improvement of skin moisture and
corneocyte cohesion.
Definition:
Biotechnological product obtained from the
culture of Thermus thermophilus.
Properties:
Stimulates production of the structural lipids
of the stratum corneum (ceramides).
Stimulates keratinocyte maturation.
Characteristics:
Preserves and reinforces the skin’s natural
physical and biochemical defences.
Particular signs:
Thermus thermophilus lives in deep-sea
water (2000 m depth, 75°C temperature,
200 bars pressure).
Origin:
Guaymas Basin (Gulf of California)

Glycerin

Applications:
Protective day creams, sun protection
products, make-up.

Formulation:
Water soluble. Add in the formula
between room temperature and 80°C

Phosphate and Dicetyl Phosphate, Croda) Protocol:
Crodamol GTCC (Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Croda) 8.00 Heat Part A to 75°C. Melt Part C until dissolution, then add it to Part B. Heat Part (B+C)
Cyclomethicone 1.00 to 75°C in water-bath. Mix well. Pour Part A into Part (B+C) with Staro stirring (s=30%).
Part C .................................................................................................................% Homogenize carefully. Add Parts D and E at about 45°C. Homogenize well while cooling.
