Life and works of Rizal Recitation

Script

 Among the history books written and published, why did rizal
choose the sucesos of morga? Who is Antonio de morga? What
are the contributions of Rizal annotation to morga’s sucesos?

Rizal chose morga’s works because it is objective, it was

more sympathetic to indios. Morga is also an eyewitness on the
events and therefore a concrete primary source. Rizals
contribution was highlited in a sense that Filipinos was already
civilized and has culture of their own before the Spaniards, which
resulted to the suffering of the filipinos under the colonizer.

 What is annotation? If the sucesos las islas Filipinas was left

untouched by rizal? What impression will it provide to the readers
not familiar with Filipino culture and tradition? Implicating the
present how will you correct misconception about culture once
you encounter one?

 Annotation is a note or comment added to a text or diagram

 What are the key ideas rizal intended for his readers to learned
about their country through his novel el fili and jow can we
nurture this ideas to the next generation

The important ideas gain from the novel is,first having too much power of corrupt government and
the colonizer can cause imbalance to the society such as greed, injustices, discrimination and abuse
to common people. Second is the importance of the education. In the novel officials tried to preserve
a monopoly for education. This meant that not everybody had an equal opportunity to better
themselves through knowledge. Rizal showed that those in power would rather rule over the
uneducated.

In order to save the next generation, educationis a must. It elevates the country to the highest
seat of glory and to develop the people's mentality. Since education is the foundation of
society and a prerequisite for social progress, through education the country can be saved from
domination and perhaps another colonization. must be reminded that that the own citizens should
be the leaders of its governing body, and not the other way around. That strength lies in numbers of
people who want to change something that is inappropriate, or give voices to those who suffer injustices.

 Identify of the causes of the indolence of the Flipinos based

on the narratives of the Spaniards and how Rizal came into
the rescue of the Filipinos Defending their Indolence.

Main causes of indolences is the hot climate, Rizal points

out Europeans, who live in cold climates and must put in
considerably more effort at work, cannot be compared to
Filipinos. He claims that working for an hour in the
Philippine sun is similar to working for a day in a temperate
area. Early Filipinos, according to Rizal, are not indolence
for they were already engaged in trading between
provinces and with other nearby nations. They also worked
in agriculture and mining, and some even knew Spanish.
