 Outbreak of wilt within the pulse crop
recorded in Sultanganj and Shahkund
block of Bhagalpur.
 Wilt diseases disrupt flow of water in the
xylem, thus causing leaves to wilt (bend
and start to die).
 The pathogens can include fungi,
nematodes, bacteria, or other micro-
organisms.

Institute (JARMI) regarding the feasibility
and detailed project report of the Plant.

13. Hooch tragedy
 Hooch claimed over 200 lives in Bihar in 5
years since 2016.
 NCRB data shows only 23 deaths.
 Just in 2021, 106 people died in nine hooch
cases.
 JD(U) announced that Nitish Kumar would

2025 to create awareness against drinking.
14. Rajwinder Singh Bhatti
 Appointed as the new DGP of Bihar.

Police Service.
15. Bhairon Singh Rathore
 Died in Jodhpur at the age of 81.
 Served in the 14th BSF unit during the 1971
war and retired from service in 1987.
 He was the hero of the Longewala battle
during 1971 War.
16. Dalai Lama in Bodh Gaya
 Dalai Lama visited the Mahabodhi
Mahavihara Temple on Dec 22, 2022.
 His last visit was in January 2020.
 On Dec 27, he visited Wat Pa temple,
Thailand's Buddhist temple in Bodhgaya.
 In June 2002, the Mahabodhi Temple
became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
17. Sahitya Akademi Award

Nagaland and Lakshadweep to ban liquor.
 As per NFHS - 5, 15.5% men drink alcohol

viaduct (3.14 km) spanning with a highway

 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been
recognised as the 9th national party.
 As per the ECI's Political Parties and

 Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin unveiled its
statue in Varanasi.
 He was a Tamil writer, poet, journalist and
