THIS MATTER having come before the Court for trial by jury and the
jury having return a verdict on May 25, 2023 and found Plaintiff, Debra
Reuter, proved by a preponderance of the evidence that she was
discriminated against under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination
(LAD)and harassed by her employer, Defendant, Berkeley Township, by
and through the conduct of the individually named Defendants on the
basis of her having a mental disability and the conduct was severe or
pervasive enough to make a reasonable person who has a mental
disability believe the working environment was intimidating, hostile or
abusive and by a preponderance of the evidence that her rights under
the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD)were violated by her
employer, Defendant, Berkeley Township, by and through the conduct
of the individually named Defendants and adverse employment actions
were taken against her in retaliation for her making internal complaint
about discrimination or seeking legal advice regarding her rights under
the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD) and that Defendants
Carmen F. Amato, Jr., John A. Camera and Debbi Winogracki aided and

abetted Defendant Berkley Township in violation of the New Jersey Law


Against Discrimination (LAD) and should be held individually and
personally liable for these violations under the New Jersey Law Against
Discrimination (LAD) and awarding Plaintiff compensatory damages of
$500,001. for emotional distress and $110,000. for economic loss and
the jury further finding Plaintiff proved by clear and convincing evidence
that the harm caused Plaintiff as a result of the violation of her rights
under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD) was the result of
conduct that was malicious or was done in wanton and willful disregard
of her rights and awarding Plaintiff $1,000,002. punitive damages:

IT IS ON THIS 26TH DAY OF MAY 2023, ORDERED:

Judgment be and is hereby entered in favor of Plaintiff, Debra Reuter,


against Defendants Berkeley Township, Carmen F. Amato, Jr., John A.
Camera, and Debbi Winogracki in the amount of $610,001. in
compensatory damages for emotional distress and economic loss and

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED judgment be and is hereby entered in favor


of Plaintiff, Debra Reuter, against Defendant, Berkeley Township, for
punitive damages in the amount of $1,000,002 and

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED Plaintiff having prevailed may make


application for attorney’s fees and costs.
