GENETIC TESTING

It is a well-known fact that genetic examination has increasingly

become a renowned and effective method that aids in detecting some
severe illnesses or debilitating conditions genetic disorganization
brings about. From my perspective, apart from some insignificant
drawbacks associated with this technique, I believe that individuals
should take genetic tests because they can provide an accurate
diagnosis for some diseases and assist future family planning.
First and foremost, thanks to the advanced technology in the genetic
field, genetic tests can now provide the testers with a much more
precise diagnosis. The denotations of some tormented diseases such as
Down Syndrome and Huntington's disease are now accurately revealed
under the light of genetic examination. As a result, the family of the
patients can choose and eventually initiate appropriate therapy and
approach them. Furthermore, the genetic test can also aid doctors in
establishing an adequate and early intervention to save the patient's life.
Another reason why I strongly agree with taking the genetic
examination is that it assists future family planning. Because of the yet-
to-detect hereditary genetic disorder in the bloodline and the rising in
modified products consumption, every individual nowadays all have
the possibility of passing hereditary diseases to their offspring.
Therefore, couples planning to give birth to their offspring should take
genetic examinations to avoid the risk of unintentionally giving their
children hereditary diseases.
In conclusion, I believe that the genetic test is vital because it
accurately informs test-takers of precise diagnoses and aids in future
family planning. However, this technique still has a long way from
reaching completion as it cannot detect some diseases. Hopefully, in
the future, scientists will fulfill this method. Nevertheless, I think that
every individual who can cover the cost of this technique should take it
as soon as possible because we all know prevention is better than cure.
