Narrative Report for Students with Failing Grades in Grade 11

This narrative report focuses on the Grade 11 nine students at Eastern Capsay Integrated School
who have failed to pass the subjects of Practical Research - 1, Reading and Writing Skills and
Applied Economics. During the Third Quarter, several students were frequently absent from class
as they chose to work to support their parents and meet their family’s needs. Consequently, almost
50% of the students failed to achieve the passing grade of 75. In response to the situation, the
following interventions are proposed:

1. ) Providing Varied Instructional Materials: The teacher will offer instructional materials
tailored to the basic needs of the students. These materials will be designed to enhance
understanding and engagement.
2. ) Visual and Graphic Presentations: The teacher will incorporate visual aids and graphic
presentations into the lessons to facilitate comprehension and make the content more
accessible
3. Conducting drills: After the Class discussions, the teacher will organize drills to reinforce
the topics covered. These drills will help students practice and apply their knowledge,
thereby, improving their understanding of the subject matter.

Recommendations:

Teachers and parents must collaborate to monitor the learning progress of the students in a
consistent way. A blended type of learning must be adapted in this case such as distance learning and face to
face class. Teachers should also provide different instructional materials based from their level of needs.
