KEY ADVANTAGES FOR PREFABRICATED STAIRS

Constructing concrete elements at site creates quality issues due to poor access and other vari-
ables in an uncontrolled environment that ultimately lead to poor workmanship and quality of
finished products.

Adopting the ICS prefabricated stairs system ensures all workmanship is carried out off-site in a
controlled environment in accordance with project specifications and approved drawings, this
ensures a higher quality of works providing some key advantages as listed below.

Key Advantages:
• Accelerated Construction Cycle: Reduced from 4-5 days to a 2-day cycle.
- Day One – Back propping / installation of prefabricated stairs
- Day Two – Rebar in the landing (2 flights) / concrete casting takes place.
• Simplified Rebar installation:
- Rebar is installed in prefabricated stairs before being dropped in place.
- Rebar is installed from the landings to prefabricated stairs using the ICS connection box.
• Prefabricated stairs frames are installed within a 20-minute time frame.
• Simplified casting process with concrete placement and sponge off excess concrete.
• All concrete placement for risers achieves a tolerance of +/- 1mm providing a perfect concrete finish.
• No reworks or remedial works required with a perfect concrete level finish.
• Handrails can be installed after concreting due to no remedial works (Safety First)
• Finishing application is one coat of epoxy paint (Commonly applied after 12 months)
• Overall time and labour saving:
- No requirement to erect plywood formwork at site.
- Rebar installation done at factory by ICS (only landing platform rebar to be installed)
- No concrete remedial work required to achieve design tolerances.
- No labour-intensive finishing products required (Only one epoxy paint layer).

ICS Prefabricated Stairs

ICS also manufactures prefabricated staircases which are easy to transport and ready to
deploy at sites. They are the ideal solution for fast- track high quality concrete staircase
construction, manufactured from the best quality raw materials, these stair cases are
robust. The high-quality finish gives a durable concrete staircase for a long maintenance
free life. They also can be customized as per the site-specific requirements.

All trends and risers are plus or minus 1mm
